Abstract: A zinc complex[Zn(Hppo)2(ppo)Cl] (1) (Hppo=3-benzyl-3-pyrazolin-5-one) was synthesized by solvent evaporation and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR and X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group P21. Cell morphology and in vitro toxicity effects against cancer cell lines HepG2, Hep3B and Huh7 of the complex were investigated. The bioassay results show that this zinc complex has distinct antitumor effects.
