Abstract: Structure and catalytic properties of La-Mo complex oxide ultrafine particles were studied by using TPR, FT-IR,UV-DRS and oxidation of toluene reaction test. It is shown that benzaldehyde selectivity for La-Mo complex particles is much higher than that of the MoO3. The mobility of lattice oxygen (Mo=O) species of the ultrafine La-Mo catalyst is larger than that of the MoO3 catalyst due to the strong interaction between La and Mo, this leads to the higher benzaldehyde selectivity of La-Mo catalyst.
