Abstract: Four new dinuclear complexes of [14]N4 macrocyclic oxamides have been synthesized and characterized, namely [Cu(η-L1) ML22](CLO4)2·nH2O, where L1 is 2, 3-dioxo-5, 6: 13, 14-dibenzo -l, 4, 8, 11 - tetraazacyclotetradeca-7, 11 -diene; L2 is ethylenediamine (en ), M = Cu (1), M = Ni (2); L2 is 1, 10-phenanthroline(phen), M = Cu(3), M = Ni(4).The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility Of (3) and (4) has been studied over the range 4.2 ~ 300K, giving the exchange intergral J = - 99.1cm-1(3) and J = -47.0cm-1(4).The results are commensurate with strong antiferromagnetic interactions between CuⅡ and CuⅡ or NiⅡ ions. |
