Abstract: The reactions of norfloxacin (H-Norf) with Mn(ClO4)2·6H2O and Mn(OH)2 yield Mn(H-Norf)(ClO4)2·2H2O (1) and [Mn(Norf)2·4H2O]n (2) , respectively. 1 is monomeric while 2 has a novel 2D neutral square grid with an antibacterial drug as building block.
