Abstract: Open-framework metal-substituted aluminophosphates have attracted more attentions owing to their interesting structural chemistry and potential applications in catalysis and ion exchange. A series of metal-substituted aluminophosphates with CHA topology (denoted as MeAPO-CHA (Me=Mn, Zn and Co)) have been prepared under the hydrothermal conditions. XRD shows that they possess the same topology. MnAPO-CHA (Mn2Al4(PO4)6[Ni(DETA)2]) crystallizes in the space group R3 with a=1.387 0(2) nm, c=1.522 2(2) nm, V=2.536 0(7) nm3, Z=3. The linkages of AlO4(MnO4) tetrahedra and PO4 tetrahedra through vertex oxygen atoms form the open-framework [Mn2Al4(PO4)6]2-. Notably, the Mn/Al ratio in MnAPO-CHA is 1/2 that Al and Mn atoms share the same position, which is the highest as far as we have known in compounds with CHA topology. Self-assembled nickel complexes locate in the CHA-cages to neutralize the negative charge of the framework. CCDC: 688179.
