Abstract: A noncentrosymmetrical hybrid complex [CuI4(bpp)4(V6ⅤO17)] (1) (bpp=1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane) based on the flexible polypyridyl ligand and vanadate has been synthesized and characterized by element analysis, IR spectra, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermo gravimetric analysis. The crystallographic data shows that complex 1 crystallizes in orthorhombic space group Pca21 with a=2.392 0(3) nm, b=1.311 87(16) nm, c=1.968 9(2) nm, V=6.178 6(13) nm3, C52H56N8Cu4O17V6, Mr=1 624.85, Dc=1.747 g·cm-3, μ(Mo Kα)=2.283 mm-1, F(000)=3 256, GOF=0.928, Z=4, the final R1=0.069 2 and wR2=0.152 6 for I>2σ(I). In 1, the one dimensional chains composed of vanadates clusters are connected by the [CuI(bpp)]+ cations to form a two dimensional layer along the ab plane. The two dimensional layers are further linked through weak CuI…CuI interaction with the CuI…CuI distance of 0.281 nm, resulting in a three dimensional framework. CCDC: 773489. |
