Abstract: A new complex, [Co2(NDC)(BIPY)2(H2O)6]·(NDC)(NDC=2,6-napathalenedicarboxylate, BIPY=2,2′-bipyridine), has been obtained by solvent method and characterized by IR, TG-DTA and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The complex belongs to Triclinic system, P1 space group with a=0.922 39(4) nm, b=1.126 16(5) nm, c=1.221 19(6) nm, α=94.857(3)°, β=111.843(2)°, γ=112.200(3)°, V=1.052 05(8) nm3, Z=2, Dc=1.526 Mg·m-3. The complex is composed by [Co2(NDC)(BIPY)2(H2O)6]2+ cation and one free NDC anion. The Co2+ cation is linked with one oxygen atom of NDC, two nitrogen atoms of BIPY, and three oxygen atoms of water molecules, forming a distorted octahedral environment. The NDC ligand links two Co2+ cations by a bis(monodentate) fashion to form a cationic unit. There are intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water molecules and the coordinated water molecule and coordinated NDC ligand, giving rise to 1D metal-organic cationic chain. In addition, hydrogen bonds are formed between the coordinated water molecule and noncoordinated NDC ligand. So, 3D supramolecular network is formed through these hydrogen bonds. CCDC: 752894. |
