Abstract: A new nickel(Ⅱ) coordination polymer {[Ni(C18H18N4O5)(DMF)]·(DMF)}n(DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide, C18H18N4O5=2-(2-{[2-(3-Pyridylcarbonyl)hydrazono]methyl}phenoxy) acetic acid) has been synthesized and characterized in the solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide with 2-(2-{[2-(3-Pyridylcarbonyl)hydrazono]methyl}phenoxy) acetic acid and Ni(CH3COO)2·4H2O. The crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. It belongs to the orthorhombic system, space group Pna21, with a=1.444 4(2) nm, b=1.622 1(3) nm, c=0.947 95(14) nm, V=2.221 1(6) nm3, Z=4, Dc=1.502 g·cm-3, Mr=502.17, λ(Mo Kα)=0.071 073 nm, μ(Mo Kα)=0.922 mm-1, F(000)=1 048, R=0.028 6 and wR=0.067 3 (I>2σ(I)). In the title compound, the Ni(Ⅱ) atom is coordinated with three oxygen atoms and and one nitrogen atom from 2-(2-{[2-(3-Pyridylcarbonyl)hydrazono]methyl}phenoxy)acetic acid molecule and one oxygen atom from adjacent N,N-dimethylformamide molecule and one nitrogen atom of pyridine ring, generating a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The result of TG analysis shows that the title complex is stable below 140 ℃. CCDC: 759613. |
