Synthesis and Electroluminescent Properties of Cyclometalated Iridium(Ⅲ) Complex with Phenylcinnoline Ligand |

摘要: 合成了一种新型环金属铱(Ⅲ)配合物(dpci)2Ir(pic),通过核磁共振氢谱和飞行时间质谱对配合物的结构进行了确定,同时对其光物理性能和电化学性能进行了表征。结果表明(dpci)2Ir(pic)在二氯甲烷中的发光波长为657 nm,量子产率约为0.005,磷光寿命为226 ns。其HOMO能级为-5.16 eV,LUMO能级为-3.16 eV。将铱配合物以0.5~4.0%质量浓度掺杂于聚乙烯基咔唑(PVK)-2-(4-叔丁基苯)-5-(4-联苯基)-1,3,4-噁二唑(PBD)中,通过旋涂成膜做成电致发光器件。掺杂2.0%的器件表现出最好的性能,电致发光波长为658 nm。器件的启明电压为11.5 V,最大外量子效率为9.1%,最大亮度为2 484 cdm-2,对应的流明效率为5.31 cd·A-1。色坐标是(0.66, 0.31)接近标准红色的色坐标。 |

Abstract: A cyclometalated iridium(Ⅲ) complex (dpci)2Ir(pic) (dpci=3,4-diphenylcinnoline, pic=picolinate) was synthesized and characterized by NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The photophysical properties and electrochemical properties of (dpci)2Ir(pic) were investigated. The photoluminescence spectrum of (dpci)2Ir(pic) in CH2Cl2 shows emission maximum at 657 nm with a lifetime of 226 ns and quantum yield of ca. 0.005. The HOMO energy level is -5.16 eV and LUMO is -316 eV, the HOMO and LUMO levels of the complex are exactly between the HOMO energy level and LUMO energy level of poly(vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and 2-tert-butylphenyl-5-biphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBD). To illustrate the electroluminescent properties of Ir(Ⅲ) complex, the devices using the complex as dopant were fabricated by solution-processed technology, and with the following structures: Tin-doped indium oxide (ITO)/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PSS) (40 nm)/PVK∶PBD∶(dpci)2Ir(pic) (0.5wt%~4.0wt%)(70 nm)/1,3,5-tris(N-phenylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-benzene (TPBI) (30 nm)/CsF(1.5 nm)/Al(120 nm). Polymer light-emitting devices using the complex as dopant exhibit intense saturated red emission with CIE coordinates of (0.66, 0.31). The device with 2.0% doping concentration of (dpci)2Ir(pic) has the best performance with a maximum external quantum efficiency of 9.1% and luminance efficiency of 5.31 cd·A-1. The maximum luminance is 2 484 cd·m-2 at a current density of 100 mA·m-2. The devices show a gradual increase in turn-on voltage with increased dopant concentration at a given current density from 0.5% to 4.0%. |
