Abstract: The protonation of L-threonic acid and complex formation constant of L-threonic acid with calcium(Ⅱ), cadmium(Ⅱ), zinc(Ⅱ), cobalt(Ⅱ) and copper(Ⅱ) binary complex were determined at 298K, I=0.1 mol·L-1 KNO3. The protonation constant of L-threonic acid (logK=3.56) is the same as gluconic acid. Complex formation constant are obviously larger than that of gluconate complex. Proton of alcoholic hydroxyl does not dissociate when coordinated to Ca(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ), Zn(Ⅱ) and Co(Ⅱ). However, alcoholic proton was dissociated with pKa 6.07 when corrdinated to Cu(Ⅱ). The formation constants are : Calcium(Ⅱ), 1.74(110); Cd(Ⅱ), 4.63(120); Zn(Ⅱ), 2.00(110); Co(Ⅱ), 2.29(110); Cu(Ⅱ), 3.65(110), -2.42(11-1), -5.41(12-2).. |
