Abstract: Using a racemic mixture of chiral metal complex Co(en)3Cl3 as a template, two novel zinc phosphates [Co(en)3]·[Zn8P6O24Cl]·2H2O(1) and [Co(en)3]2·[Zn6P8O32H8](2) have been prepared hydrothermally. Single-crystal structureal analysis demonstrates that both compounds contain chiral inorganic structural motifs and that the enantiomers of the chiral complex are separated orderly as Δ and Λ configurations in the inorganic host. This work studies the chiral transference from the chiral metal complex to the inorganic framework.
