Abstract: The β-CD was first successfully introduced into the pore of MCM-41 mesoporous sieve, with γ-glycidoxypr- opyltrimethoxy silane (GPTS) as a coupling agent. An inorganic/organic complex mesoporous material β-CD- MCM-41 was synthesized, and characterized by XRD, nitrogen adsorption-desorption, elemental analysis, FT-IR and spectrophotofluorimetry. The results show that β-CD molecular not only get into the modified inner wall, but also remain the ordered mesoporou structure of MCM-41.
